What happens when neighborhood kids get the chance to work with professional playwrights, directors and actors? Theatre that is original, dynamic and from the heart. Exploring their own voice and creativity, young people in Chicago Avenue Project create and perform in their own plays.
Past productions of the Chicago Avenue Project have featured some of the Twin Cities' best-known actors and playwrights, including actors Randy Reyes, Christiana Clark, Tracey Maloney, Jim Lichtscheidl, Nathaniel Fuller and James A. Williams; and playwrights Trista Baldwin, Deborah Stein, Tracey Scott Wilson, Andy Bragen, and Carlyle Brown.
Chicago Avenue Project performances take place at Pillsbury House Theatre, 3501 Chicago Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55407. If you are interested in hearing more about the Chicago Avenue Project please call 612-825-0459.
